Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence

The Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defense is the only military-themed museum in Hong Kong, which was converted from the old Lei Yue Mun Fort. The museum tells the unique story of Hong Kong's coastal defense with novel deductive techniques and thematic forms

October to February

Monday to Wednesday, Friday to Sunday: 10am to 5pm

March to September

Monday to Wednesday, Friday to Sunday: 10am to 6pm

Closed: Every Thursday (except public holidays), the first and second days of the Lunar New Year

Transportation: MTR Shau Kei Wan Station Exit B2, walk there (about 15 minutes)

Museum car park

The museum has a private car parking lot, which is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (from March to September, the opening hours of the museum are extended to 6:00 pm), closed on Thursdays (except public holidays), and the first and second days of the Lunar New Year. Each visitor can park for three hours free of charge. If necessary, the disabled can call 2569 1500 for enquiries.
